Edge in Shape

80s style influences (think extra big shoulder pads) have been in full swing and I'm not mad about it...
If you have been following my #ootd on IG, you know I love an exaggerated silhouette when I see one. I think that might have been a result of my tumultuous, and sometimes questionable, low waist super skinny jeans + tight baby tees high school years. But thank god I've adopted a look that allows me to breathe. There are tricks to the trade with this shape however. You don't want to look like you're drowning in fabric, nor like you've just borrowed someone else's clothes (wink wink). Keep the waist line fitted if you want looser fitting pants, and layer with a tight shirt underneath a bold shoulder blazer. If you want some skin action, a fitted crop top is super chic as well. A black, body con turtle neck sweater is so cute with this blazer, too.

I was inspired by Vetement's play on blazers, and went for an oversized shape - getting an L size in this blazer. The great thing is you can also hit up your local thrift stores to find a shoulder silhouette just like this very easily!
