Shop the Look: Culottes
I know ya'll haven't been living under a rock these past few months, 'cuz these babies have been on every page of fashion magazines. That's the thing with fashion, even if you don't like em, you see them enough and you start to like them. Marketing is a marvel. Well, surely the ploy's worked on me. I just copped myself a pair, despite my short calves insecurities. The wide frame does suit almost every body shape, so don't you fret - they're so chic with just a crop top and sneakers.
Go ahead and explore my picks above, they're all under $120!

Teal or No Teal
Teal is always a great choice for Summer dresses - especially in this pastel shade. Something about how feminine and adventurous this color is. I've been hit with a serious case of wanderlust as of recent - it's so tempting to just book a ticket some place random and totally new. When I do get the time off to travel, I try to go back home to Cambodia to see my parents & bffs. The guilt of visiting any other place always creeps up. But heck there's so much of the world to see. I'm thinking some where in Europe - a mix of old ruins and a lush country side. Comment below and make me some suggestions! :)
This dress was a little girly for what I'm mostly accustomed to wearing casually, so I paired it with the old fashioned white sneakers. My friend Azusa and I took these shots in Silverlake (east side of Hollywood), the chic hipster cafes and pastel colored homes are so cute and different from any other areas of LA.

Shop the Look: Summer Getaway

Run away and embark on that adventure you've always wanted to this summer. This outfit inspires me to just run through a field of daisies, carefree, hair tasseled through the wind. Anne of the Green Gables would approve.

Biting the Apple Again
"Make your mark in New York, and you are a made man" - Mark Twain
OH New York City! How I've missed this place & the friends who made nights so memorable! I left New York permanently in the winter for the adventurous wild west, but something tells me when I returned this Spring - I still left a large piece of my heart there. Gosh, the 4am nights, the late night binge in K-Town after the raucous, late brunch within walking distance, the different types of people you meet if you just say Hi! The damn pothole filled sidewalks that always leads to something new & keeps you trippin'. It's been six months since I left, and I've come back to so many changes. And that's why there's really NO place like this crazy place I called home for 7 years. I love LA, but NYC will always be me. My trip back this time was to see my cousin & friends, officially move out of my old apartment, and be rejuvenated by this air that somehow just drives you. And now I'm paying for it with a body-stricken cold!
Shout out to my friend Lucas for taking these shots in the streets of my old stomping grounds, the Lower East Side. Thanks, my dude! xx
