NYFW Day 2 | GlitterFlakes

My outfit for NYFW Day 2 - Liberace would be proud...

Coat: Vintage Saga Fox Furs
Shades: Tom Ford / Bag: Alexander McQueen
I was really inspired by lingerie & Old Hollywood with this outfit; keeping simple clean lines to allow the coat to speak for itself.

Ah I'm reliving NYFW as I'm working on this post. I didn't get to go to the huge shows I have always dreamed of and the climax of what is NYFW (think Calvin Klein, Jeremy Scott, Vera, Proenza, Preen, & Marc Jacobs) but I am working my way in one season at a time. I didn't want to get an invite through connects (as I easily could have thanks to my friends who have worked their asses off to get to the top of the totem pole in the Fashion District), but I wanted to get invited based off my social media and blogging merit. The bigger designer shows are definitely an inspiration to work towards. It's not about being front row or anything, but witnessing creative genius as it debuts is absolutely special. Pep talk aside, I did see some dope shows like Dennis Basso, Thomas Wylde (a design house near and dear to me as I've done a few projects with them), Narcisco, Carmen Marc Valvo. This outfit is me leaving the Thomas Wylde show trouting about in the snow like a husky seeing snow for the first time. It's been one year and a half since my last encounter with snow and it made me so, so happy, as you can easily tell from the pictures! lol. Ok, that husky simile might be a little inappropriate seeing as I'm wearing a fox coat, but it's vintage & passed down I swear. (...smh...)
